ABOUT: Rather than just take images of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley from the top lookouts at Echo Point, walk down to the sisters themselves and take some amazing shots looking east and west with cliffs each side. At sunrise and sunset the place is ablaze with colour and atmosphere.

PHOTO EQUIPMENT TO BRING: A fisheye lens is a great speciality one to open up the narrow gaps between the sisters, especially on the metal bridge between them. A 14-16mm range is good too. Getting the sky and darker cliffs balanced requires a tripod for blended exposures. Also a medium telephoto to shoot the echo point platform is fun.

GETTING TO THE SPOT/S: Just follow the concrete trail which is left of the echo point complexes. The last bit is on a v.steep steel staircase, so beware with lots of kit. Don’t be tempted to do the Giant Staircase, just yet!
